Spring

Snowmelt adds energy to the river. Expect stronger flows and check with a permitted guide before choosing a run.

Summer

Dam-supported boating flows make summer a popular time for this river. Confirm the release window for your trip.

Fall

Look for a later-season trip with an outfitter; do not assume a summer release schedule continues.

Winter

A different river experience: explore Coloma and riverfront trails. Cold-water rafting requires appropriate expertise.
